From 2006 until 2015, Ed taught melodeon around his adopted home county of Devon, Glorious Devon and across the border at Halsway Manor, Somerset. With the bank of Loaner Hohners, those who fancied a go (but didn’t own an instrument) could rent one at a nominal rate to really see if it was for them. And so it almost invariably proved!
In the Spring of 2024, Ed once more began evening group progressive workshops for absolute beginners and very successful they were too!
With the end of the 2026 Festival Season fast approaching, he’ll be starting a new series of Absolute Beginners Workshops. If you have access to a D/G melodeon, bring it along! If you don’t have access to one, there are Loaner Hohners to hire. And with Ed’s tablature system (aka Rennie Tab), you don’t even have to read music. So if you’ve always fancied having a go on a melodeon, here’s your chance!
The small group workshops are a progressive series, running once a month from September to June.
